Granite Grand Slam

Jim Courier & Mark Philippoussis join forces to headline the 2010 Granite Grand Slam. This event supports Tennis Canada and its mission to lead the growth, promotion and showcasing of the sport of tennis in Canada, build a system that helps produce world class players and foster the pursuit of excellence for all. Monies raised through the Granite Grand Slam will assist with the introduction of tennis programs into community schools. Tennis Canada will work alongside the Ontario Tennis Association to provide tennis equipment to schools and train educators on the program. The school program encourages a healthy, active lifestyle while teaching the importance of sportsmanship to students. Additionally, funds raised from the Granite Grand Slam will once again be directed toward growing Tennis Canada’s Under-12 national squad program which is a critical component of player development and transition into the professional game. A portion of the proceeds from the Granite Grand Slam will also be allocated toward Tennis Canada’s Seniors Tennis Program.
