GRAND CAYMAN (April 16, 2009) – The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, the host of the Legends Championships tennis tournament, is offering a free tennis clinic at The Courts on Saturday, April 25, 2009. Children ages three to 18 are invited to learn a variety of fun drills, games and practice routines to improve their tennis as well as hang out with some of the pros. Tournament participants include such legendary professional tennis players as Jim Courier, Mark Philippoussis, Goran Ivanisevic, Mats Wilander, Wayne Ferreira, Mikael Pernfors, Jimmy Arias and Karel Novacek.

Gates to The Courts at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman open at 9:00 a.m. The first clinic begins at 10:00 a.m. for children ages three to eight, and the second starts at 11:00 a.m. for children ages eight and up. Racquets will be provided, but all children must come with court shoes and proper tennis attire. In addition, children and parents are asked to bring a donation of a toy as an entrance fee. Donated toys will be given to Cayman Islands’ Department of Children and Family Services.

“One of my favorite things in life is to give children the opportunity to fall in love with the game of tennis like I did when I was seven years old,” says Legends participant Jim Courier.
