iPod Shuffle - Mats Wilander
Former world No. 1 Mats Wilander heads a lineup of former tennis stars playing the Staples Champions Cup April 29 to May 2 at the Agganis Arena. But at one point he was way more into his guitar than his Rossignol racket. In fact, Wilander’s band even toured Sweden in the 1990s. How does he compare, axe-wise, with onetime rival and fellow guitarist John McEnroe? “I think it’s similar as to when we’re on the court,’’ he said. “He’s louder.’’

Glad we missed: “There are a couple of things that my oldest son has been putting on there. I’m not too crazy there about the newer rock ’n’ roll. I can listen to Nickelback. I’m not too crazy about them. It’s a little too bubblegum pop to me. It sounds really produced and it’s not as spontaneous.’’
